ON THE REGIONAL AND NATIONAL COUNCILS

last update 23/07/2009

Students' role:  http://www.cnous.fr/_cnous_13.htm
« Elected students take an active part in the democratic functioning of University actions at all levels: CNOUS and CROUS boards of directors, halls of residence councils, various committees and task groups. Within these different groups, representatives work hard to enable students to obtain the same benefits wherever they study.

Eight representatives are elected to the CROUS board of directors for 2 years among elected student members. They take part in setting up the general policy guidelines of the national and regional Centers, and give their opinions on the CNOUS budget and the distribution of State funds among all CROUS.

Seven students are elected to the CROUS every 2 years on a proportional ballot. They participate in the functioning of the University at all levels: board of directors, various committees, student allocation committee, cultural committee, catering committee, accommodation, etc, and all committees and task groups related to the different CROUS actions.
In addition, elections for the halls of residence councils are held each year. Each hall of residence elects their own representatives.
