Science Accueil offers the following services

A Science Accueil branch was opened at the University of Evry Val d'Essonne in October 2008. Science Accueil helps French and foreign researchers and their families to find accommodation or to get through many formalities. In particular, Science Accueil supports PhD students, postdoctoral fellows and senior researchers.

Housing

Science Accueil offers accommodation tailored to your needs. We have all kinds of furnished accommodation, rooms in the owner's house, small and large apartments and family houses. Rent prices vary in accordance with the location and surface.  Science Accueil has agreements also with hotel residences in the area of Evry

If you book an accommodation with Science Accueil, you will not have to pay fees.
Our services are free of charge.

Administrative assistance

Science Accueil offers to researchers and PhD students administrative assistance on issues related to relocation:

• Visa
• Resident Card
• Work permit
• Health coverage and health system
• French banking system
• Insurance
• Education and childcare
• Income tax and miscellaneous taxes

Extra professional Activities

• Leisure : Science Accueil provides information on sport and cultural activities in Evry.
• French courses : With the CEREL (the language centre of the University of Versailles-Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines), Science Accueil offers a Distance Language training.
  The Distance Language Learning combines self-training based on an online language software with a customized training program followed up by a Teaching Adviser.
  You can access your language training programme even before your arrival in France, anywhere, any time.
  The yearly fee is 170 euros with tutoring.
   
  At the beginning of the academic new year (September 2009), we will be pleased to offer you new French courses in Evry.
• Cultural visits : Science Accueil regularly organizes cultural visits. Those visits are on your charge. Participation fees reflect the cost of the visit. Please notice that Science Accueil receives no benefits from those visits.
