Academic year : 2017 / 2018

    Course objectives and characteristics

The Bachelor's Degree in Social and Economic Administration is a multidisciplinary academic programme which combines studies in three key fields – law, economics & management, and human & social sciences – with an array of complementary technical subjects (information technology, finance, accounting, languages etc.). The course has two key objectives: to prepare students for graduate studies (particularly professional Master’s degrees) and to prepare them for direct entry into professional life.

The GLO course begins with organisation coordination in the final year of the Bachelor's Degree (L3) and continues through a speciality until the final year of the Master's degree (M2). Its aim is to train "multi-activity executives" in a certain number of tools and measures for the modernisation of organisations, now common to public and private businesses, institutions, associative, social and health sectors (evaluation, quality approaches, Social and Environmental Responsibility, Sustainable Development, social responsibility of executives etc.). The course offered by GLO does not aim to make the student a specialist in one method or another, but teaches them a general approach to these measures allowing them to understand the issues in terms of restrictions and flexibility.

    Course structure

The final year of the Bachelor's Degree (L3) marks the beginning of the specialisation.

It is made up of two teaching semesters, at the end of which exams are organised. The lessons, Tutorials (known as TD) and Practical Seminars (or TP), are organised into Teaching Units (TU). Some subjects are compulsory, others are chosen from a range of options. These optional papers offer students the chance to study topics of interest from the course in greater detail and/or to discover topics from other disciplines and to explore inter-disciplinary approaches.
